Fishing Lake - Landscape Scheme

The client wanted to provide two fishing lakes of approximately 2 acres suitable for stocking with fish species for recreational course fishing including carp. The site should provide pleasant amenity and be inconspicuous in the landscape to provide additional caravan storage in the east of the site that is separate and does not impact on the local landscape.

The pools are informed by the contours of the field to minimize landforming requirements. This features include native emergent and oxygenating vegetation to provide habitat for biodiversity including invertebrates and the stock fish. The depths allow for variation in aquatic habitat for fishing intrest and for winter retreat. Native trees, shrubs, aquatics and wildflower seed are used exclusively (except speciment weeping williow which is a naturalised species.)
