The client wanted us to provide a aesthetically pleasing and functional landscape setting for the new residential development while enhancing the site for protected priority and common fauna.
The adjacent mature trees are protected during the construction period and provide valuable maturity to the new development. Soft landscaping within the root areas of the mature trees provides an improvment to the growing environment of trees. Each dwelling is provided with off road parking, access paths to front and back, a rear patio area, lawned amenity space and ornamental planting.New planting including 9 predominately native new landscape trees, new hedges and ornamental shurb planting with high biodiversity value speciments.Hard surfacing is used to denote functional areas with tegular block paths,block paved parking spaces, tarmacadam shared spaces and natural affect pavers to the rear gardens and paths. External lighting is designed to provide quality outdoor living to the residents while minimzing impact on local bat and bird populations and preserving a dark corridor along the north boundary.
